He\u2019s not retiring, though. Instead, he is now CEO and senior engineer. Taking over as president is Jeff Kuenning (left), who has been with the company since 2008. Most recently, he was vice president of operations. \u201cJeff and I have worked side by side for many years to build BMD into what it is today,\u201d explains Boksa. \u201cThis transition strengthens our operational focus while allowing me to dedicate more time to complex engineering and long-term strategy.\u201d Kuenning therefore will take on strategic planning, daily operations, and studio growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Secondly, Boksa Marine Design now has a second office, in Fort Lauderdale. This puts it in proximity to refit and service yards, for instance, as well as brokers, shipyard representatives, and industry suppliers. \u201cSouth Florida is a critical hub for the recreational marine industry,\u201d Kuenning notes. \u201cEstablishing a dedicated presence there allows us to better support our clients with on-the-ground engineering expertise and more responsive project coordination.\u201d Pablo Raspo heads the office, on Las Olas Way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, the studio continues to focus on commercial and government vessels and projects.
