Supercars and a signature style of art, architecture, and fashion from the early 20th century seemingly have nothing in common. However, they come together aboard the yacht Angelique, whose owner recently took delivery from Turquoise Yachts.
With her hull showing off a “Tour de France” blue, the classic Ferrari paint color, Angelique launched in January as the largest private yacht in Turkish history. Much like famed sports cars, angled grills and louvres punctuate her styling, as do sculpted curves. Besides approaching 288 feet (88 meters) in length, she stands five decks high and has a volume of 2,646 gross tons.

Even with these substantial proportions, though, the megayacht is for bringing a party of up to 14 closer together from day into night. For instance, the social hub for the owners’ family and charter guests (Angelique is in Edmiston’s charter fleet) is the main deck. Given popular practice, they’ll likely spend good time around the 21-foot-long (6.5-meter-long), glass-sided pool. It also has counterflow jets, with seating nearby. For a little more action, the foredeck helipad can host a pickup game of basketball. Fitness enthusiasts can work out together in the gym and enjoy relaxing in the sauna, both on the bridge deck. The sauna is part of a larger spa, additionally featuring a hammam and massage/treatment area.
Entertainment is a significant part of life aboard the yacht Angelique as well. All of her decks have DJ stations, for example, and the sundeck turns into an alfresco cinema come nightfall. Even meals are an experience on the sundeck, thanks to a teppanyaki grill, complementing a more traditional barbecue grill.

Throughout the interior, the owners wanted to create an Art Deco-inspired look and feel. In fact, they liked what Turquoise Yachts and H2 Yacht Design created aboard the yacht Go, using it as inspiration. Although more modern, the décor still reflects the rich detailing that characterizes the classic design style. Blue is the primary hue, and locally crafted stainless steel accents are prominent as well. (Related, Jonny Horsfield, H2 Yacht Design’s founder, says, “it is the finest I have seen from any shipyard.”) Art Deco design flows from the saloon to the six guest staterooms on the main deck—two VIPs and four double staterooms, specifically. It further flows throughout the owners’ deck, which has an alfresco breakfast/dining area and bar that can enclose as a winter garden. Undoubtedly, the highlight of the design aboard the yacht Angelique is a Dale Chihuly sculpture within the central stairway’s atrium.
In spite of all the amenities for guests, the owner of the yacht Angelique didn’t forget about the crew. Totaling 27, they have an alfresco area forward on the bridge deck to take breaks.
